A simple workflow

From media to usable outcomes in three steps

No desktop app to install and no models, FFmpeg, or GPU infrastructure to maintain.
01

Add your content

Upload a local file, record with your browser, or paste a public YouTube link.

02

Transcribe asynchronously

The queue hands work to an isolated compute service that extracts, chunks, and transcribes the audio with speaker labels.

03

Review and export

Edit segments, review summaries and action items, then export documents, subtitles, or structured data.

Core capabilities

More than speech-to-text

AudioGist brings the complete transcription workflow into one SaaS workspace designed to scale.

99 transcription languages

Detect languages automatically, preserve timestamps, and identify speakers in clear audio.

Structured AI insights

Extract an overview, key points, and action items instead of producing one generic paragraph.

Three input methods

Upload audio or video, record directly in the browser, or submit a public YouTube link.

Eight real export formats

Create TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, CSV, Markdown, and JSON for documents, captions, and data workflows.

Privacy first

Source files are deleted after successful processing by default, with self-service account and data deletion.

Asynchronous architecture

Uploads, queues, and compute are separated so long recordings do not block the product control plane.

Use cases

Built for people who need to revisit what was said

One transcript can support meeting follow-up, customer insight, content production, and research.

Meetings and collaboration

Turn recordings into decisions, risks, owners, and deadlines.

Sales and interviews

Capture customer needs, objections, exact quotes, and next steps with traceable timestamps.

Podcasts and content

Create show notes, chapters, quotes, subtitles, and editable source material faster.

Learning and research

Convert classes, lectures, and public material into searchable notes and revision outlines.

Privacy-first architecture

Your recordings are not our training data.

AudioGist separates identity, product data, and source media. Upload tokens are single-use, compute callbacks are HMAC-protected, and source objects are deleted after successful processing by default.

  • User-level isolationEvery read and delete operation verifies ownership against the current account.
  • Short-lived authorizationUploads, downloads, and account deletion use expiring tokens or fresh verification.
  • Controlled lifecycleSource files are cleaned up after processing and users can erase their D1 and R2 data.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before your first transcript

01What can AudioGist process?

AudioGist supports common audio and video formats, browser microphone recording, and public YouTube links that pass the URL allowlist. The product-level file limit is 2 GB; production deployments must also account for Worker and storage limits.

02Do you keep source files after transcription?

Not by default. Security settings can keep sources for uploads and recordings created afterward; otherwise R2 deletes them after successful processing. Deleting the transcript or account still removes retained objects.

03Will my content be used to train models?

AudioGist's product policy is not to train models on customer content. Before production launch, the privacy policy must accurately name the active model providers, subprocessors, retention periods, and available data controls.

04Which export formats are supported?

The browser can generate TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, CSV, Markdown, and JSON files, with optional speaker labels and timestamps.

05Does the free plan require a credit card?

No. A payment flow is created only when you choose a paid plan and continue to the payment provider's hosted checkout.

06How do I cancel a subscription or delete my account?

Paid users can manage subscriptions in the Billing Portal. You must cancel an active subscription before deleting your account, then confirm with your password, a fixed confirmation phrase, and a 15-minute email link.
