A simple workflow
Upload a local file, record with your browser, or paste a public YouTube link.
The queue hands work to an isolated compute service that extracts, chunks, and transcribes the audio with speaker labels.
Edit segments, review summaries and action items, then export documents, subtitles, or structured data.
Core capabilities
Detect languages automatically, preserve timestamps, and identify speakers in clear audio.
Extract an overview, key points, and action items instead of producing one generic paragraph.
Upload audio or video, record directly in the browser, or submit a public YouTube link.
Create TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, CSV, Markdown, and JSON for documents, captions, and data workflows.
Source files are deleted after successful processing by default, with self-service account and data deletion.
Uploads, queues, and compute are separated so long recordings do not block the product control plane.
Use cases
Turn recordings into decisions, risks, owners, and deadlines.
Capture customer needs, objections, exact quotes, and next steps with traceable timestamps.
Create show notes, chapters, quotes, subtitles, and editable source material faster.
Convert classes, lectures, and public material into searchable notes and revision outlines.
Privacy-first architecture
AudioGist separates identity, product data, and source media. Upload tokens are single-use, compute callbacks are HMAC-protected, and source objects are deleted after successful processing by default.

Frequently asked questions
AudioGist supports common audio and video formats, browser microphone recording, and public YouTube links that pass the URL allowlist. The product-level file limit is 2 GB; production deployments must also account for Worker and storage limits.
Not by default. Security settings can keep sources for uploads and recordings created afterward; otherwise R2 deletes them after successful processing. Deleting the transcript or account still removes retained objects.
AudioGist's product policy is not to train models on customer content. Before production launch, the privacy policy must accurately name the active model providers, subprocessors, retention periods, and available data controls.
The browser can generate TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, CSV, Markdown, and JSON files, with optional speaker labels and timestamps.
